About the Author
Mike was born in California and has lived in multiple statesfrom the west coast to the east coast. He cannot remember a time when he wasn'treading a book. At school, home, on vacation, at work at lunch time, and yeseven a few pages in the car (at times when he just couldn't put that great bookdown). Though he has read all sorts of genres he has always been drawn tofantasy. It is his way of escaping to a simpler time filled with magic, wondersand heroics of young men and women.
Other than reading, Mike has always enjoyed the outdoors. Fromthe beaches in Southern California to the warm waters of North Carolina. Fromthe waterfalls in the Northwest to the Rocky Mountains in Utah. Mike hasappreciated the beauty that God provides for us. He also enjoys hiking,discovering nature, playing a little basketball or volleyball, and mostrecently disc golf. He has a lovely wife who has always supported him, andthree beautiful children who have been the center of his life.
Mike began writing stories in elementary school and moved onto larger novels in his early adult years. He has worked in corporate finance formost of his career. That, along with spending time with his wonderful familyand obligations at church has made it difficult to find the time to trulydedicate to writing. In the last few years as his children have become older hehas returned to doing what he truly enjoys - writing!

A good read!

The first two books that are available are a good start for what could be a very good series. I broke my rule about not starting a series unless the whole lot was available and read these books anyway. I am glad that I did and hope the author does not leave us hanging. It is a well written work well worth the time spent with it. I look forward to the follow up instalments. I hope we don't have to wait very long. The format is some what familiar but makes a good story. I like the concept that love, above all, is the most powerful force out there. Getting to that point is what makes a good story. Good prevails over evil. You'll like this one.

This book is amazing and this says a lot because I am very picky when I read a book. It too me into the story like I was actually there. It had the perfect amount of drama and I can't wait to read the other books, I give it 2 thumbs up

This story was a grab you at the first chapter. It is similar to many of fantasy stories yet different. It captures your sense of young idealism, fantasy, young love, friends, and evil. The belief in a god, a false preacher all wrapped around wizards both evil and untried. Where will it go from here. And what about those magical horses, and throne? Good read.
