N. Gregory Mankiw is Robert M. Beren Professor of Economics at Harvard University. He studied economics at Princeton University and MIT. Dr. Mankiw is a prolific writer and a regular participant in academic and policy debates. His research includes work on price adjustment, consumer behavior, financial markets, monetary and fiscal policy, and economic growth. His published articles have appeared in academic journals, such as the American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, and Quarterly Journal of Economics, and in more widely accessible forums, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and Fortune. Dr. Mankiw has been a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research, an adviser to the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and the Congressional Budget Office, and a member of the ETS test development committee for the advanced placement exam in economics. From 2003 to 2005, he served as chairman of the President's Council of Economic Advisers.

Great Book &+ Fun To Read

Just finished reading this book, and I loved it. The book is well written and very easy to comprehend, for readers of all levels. I have always been really interested in crimes and serial killers, and love doing research on them. I really enjoyed that this book went into personal details of the peoples' lives. It's more in depth and sheds light on the mental aspect of the offenders than most other books I have read. I really like getting all the details that weren't really famous, it really gives you the full picture.

a great read into crime stories

You hear about these stories sometimes in the media, but you only hear a few details. This book delves into these crimes and for me, it left me in awe. I love crime movies, and the documentaries on tv about serial killers and such, so this book caught my attention in the same manner. These are all little short stories, but great reads nonetheless. This author really knows how to capture and audience and leaving us wanting more! I enjoy that kind of read! I received my book at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion and unbiased review. highly recommend this book and this author has quickly gone on my need to read more books from list!

The book doesn't just talk about facts. It gives you a little peek into the lives of the people who were murdering and the person who did the crime. The stories are short and to the point, and it keeps readers looking for more. The stories are well written and to the point.

Easy, simple read. But very valuable for the beginner woodworker; those just beginning to amass their tool collection. It's got techniques for cutting joineries as well as sharpening your hand tools. So I learned quite a bit as a beginning woodworker. I didn't give 5 stars because he has a lot of power tools that I can't apply to my woodworking, i.e. jointer and planer. I can't afford those, so I try to work with the things I have.

Great book Marc

This book pointed out the dichotomy of the old vs the new. Use a pencil or a pen, a notebook or a laptop, an mp3 player or a record.

The beauty lies between the gap, where you find yourself most comfortable.

That being said, there were a lot of good techniques to take home. I work in a niche woodworking market, and I really enjoy taking breaks from time to time to just build some furniture.

I was inspired by this book, and I'll be in my shop tomorrow dreaming of furniture that I'll make in the future.

I love the wood whisperer website

I love the wood whisperer website. He does such a great job at breaking down projects and tools. This book is for BEGINNERS! So if you are looking something more advanced I'd skip this book. But for a newb to woodworking like myself (probably even a more intermediate woodworker who is getting back into it) this book is perfect. It's premise is simple, how do I combine hand tools and power tools? Enjoy the book, the website, and the podcast.

You will not believe the information and tips and tricks Jack gives in his books. MYSTERY OF MAKING IT is the most crammed with ingormation. If I could buy only one that is the one I would choose. But, I bought all of the 6 others when I started reading Mystery,because I didn't want to miss anything Jack had to say. I will eventually get to ordering his Texas History books, but right now I need the information in the art series to sink in to being automatic pilot for me.
Do not hesitate to purchade any of his book !!! All are worth more than you are payihhng!!!
He is mostwilling to share of anyone I have ever known.
