Entertaining, probably a lot of truth, but not a one-stop shop for military insight.

This is certainly an entertaining book, but in the end I feel like it is basically a rant, and that. However, I do think it's possible to do some self-reflection based on the accounts of military failure in this book.
It's not written in plain English--he (maybe unnecessarily) uses a lot of really big words that one might not be accustomed to with modern authors.
My "own words" understanding of the author's thesis is that there are cognitive biases that are prevalent throughout society, but that in the military context it is even more critical to understand and counter these biases. Are they really more critical in the military? Or do they just get more attention?
I recommend reading this in conjunction with many other books on decision making and leadership, and certainly get many other perspectives on how big organizations work before you use this to pass judgement on military organizations in particular.
